Minty Mudbath Shake, the poor cousin of the Shamrock Shake

I really really hoped that this new Shrek promotion would provide me with the oportunity to sample what, along with the McRib, lives on in McDonalds folklaw. The Shamrock Shake. But no. Although in the same family, this Minty Mudbath Shake is choc-mint flavoured, not just plain mint.

And it's most definately not green in colour. Please dont get me wrong. It was very nice to drink and a change from the normal Vanilla/Choc/Strawberry offerings. I do remember though back in 83 having the same shake along with a sundae that came with a "Poco Wafer, free spinkles too". Only sad point is that my local McDonalds still had the Iced Coffee shake on offer until this one came along, so I guess it's goodbye to the Iced Coffee Shake. Hmmm... Mixed emotions. 8 tooth decays out of 10.

Swamp Sludge McFlurry

Well, it's Shrek time now at Mc Donalds. Yesterday as I pulled up at the drive thru and I was bombarded with green Shrek posters EVERYWHERE. Their subtle promotion worked and I decided to try the new limited edition Swamp Sludge McFlurry.


It was, um green. And minty. With what probably were Oreo crumbs. It was actually really nice. I like minty things so it was a nice change to have a soft serve type thing that wasnt vanilla flavoured. Only thing as you can probably see from the picture is that it was a little "looser" than a normal McFlurry. But still totally enjoyable. 8 brain freezes out of 10.
